Program Requests Information
We appreciate your interest in involving the Vanderbilt Career Center (VCC) in the goals of your organization. In an effort to address the professional development needs of VU students, we have developed three programs (each program is one hour long) that can be delivered to student groups or organizations by our Peer Career Advocates on staff. The programs:
- Overview of VCC Services
- How to Write at Resume and Cover Letter
- How to Find an Internship
are designed to be informational in nature. Our goal is to engage students in "thinking about" and "taking action" to build professional skills that will help them with obtaining internship and full-time employment.
Due to the number of requests that we receive, our office requires three weeks advance notice before considering a request.
Additionally, if you represent a residence hall, we ask that a minimum of three floors be part of a program request to ensure adequate resident participation.
If you are interested in submitting a request for one of our programs, please click on the link below. Immediately upon submission, you will receive a confirmation email stating that we have received your request. Please allow a minimum of three business days for us to process your request and reply whether we have accepted or declined the request. Depending on the time of year, the VCC may be unable to deliver programs because staff resources are not available on a particular day/time.
If you are a member of the VU faculty or staff, please contact Elizabeth Scutchfield directly at 615-322-3212 and she will be glad to discuss your program ideas and request.
