The winner of the "Rendigs Fels Award for Graduate Excellence" for the academic year of 2008-09 is Katharine Shester. The award is presented annually on behalf of Emeritus Professor Rendig Fels, at a banquet held by the Economics Department with the staff, faculty, graduate students and teaching assistants all in attendance.
